ADONIS HANDS OVER £3 MILLION MEDICAL CENTRE

Dudley residents are benefiting from a major new primary care centre development by specialist healthcare developer and investor, Matrix Medical.

Midlands-based Adonis has just handed over the new £3 million, 2,500 sq m medical centre to St James’s Medical Practice and Dudley Primary Care Trust.

Working in partnership with Birmingham-based developers, Matrix Medical, Adonis delivered the three-storey building, located at Eve Hill, Dudley, on schedule in just 38 weeks.

Designed by local architects Bundred & Goode, the state-of-the-art facilities will serve over 9,000 patients and provide nine consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and a minor operations facility to accommodate doctors and nurses.

The practice will now be able to offer a full range of clinical services including physiotherapy and phlebotomy as well as regular baby clinics.

The medical centre will also accommodate community staff including district nurses, health visitors and midwives. Matrix Medical has also provided in-built expansion space to allow for any future changes in services.

Chairman of Adonis, Neville Clements is delighted that this completed primary care centre consolidates Adonis’ reputation in the healthcare industry.

Indeed, the company has recently handed over a number of prestigious projects including a £2.5million primary care centre in West Heath and a £4million surgery in Selly Oak.

He said: “It is a pleasure to have worked alongside Matrix Medical to bring this expertly-designed project to fruition. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Simon Wilson, development manager at Matrix Medical said, “The partnership has been mutually beneficial and everyone is extremely happy with the completed development.

Adonis’ professionalism and customer service have been exemplary and it really makes them stand out from the crowd. This is our first project together and we are pleased to have joined forces on a development which is a valuable addition to the community and also highlights our expertise as the UK’s leading specialist developer and investor in healthcare property.”

Rachel Harris, chair of the Dudley Primary Care Trust added: “The new building is another great example of how healthcare facilities continue to improve across Dudley.

I am sure that many patients will benefit greatly from the wide variety of services on offer.”

For Adonis, the project is further testament to its commitment to the healthcare sector.

With its headquarters in the Black Country, Adonis has over 30 years’ experience in serving the local community where 70% of their work is repeat business.
