WORK BEGINS ON ANAEROBIC DIGESTER

Harper Adams University College is expanding its commitment to sustainable energy with work due to start this week on a £3million-plus renewable power system at its Shropshire campus.



The anaerobic digester at Harper Adams in Edgmond, near Newport has been in planning for two-and-a-half-years and the turf cutting ceremony today brings together all the major partners including BiogenGreenfinch, which is designing the plant, utilities company E.ON, and local contractor Adonis Construction.

CHURCH, LOZELLS, BIRMINGHAM



A major new 1000-seater church on the site of the birthplace of Aston Villa Football Club is now open.

Designed by Paul Henry Architects and Project Managers Ltd and built by Midlands-based Adonis Construction, the new edifice includes energy-saving features and all the mod-cons of a modern building. Funding for the project currently comes solely from members and friends of the church, representing a significant commitment and major investment by the community into the South Lozells area.
